fieldtask_get_invoice lets an AI client read one invoice by its ID, including its line items, taxes and discount. The client gets the ID from fieldtask_list_invoices or from a fieldtask_create_invoice result; you never need to supply it.

Reading an invoice never changes it. No FieldTask tool sends an invoice, records a payment or collects money.

Same checks and results as REST GET /public/v1/invoices/{resource_id}.

Permissions

Permissions the connection must hold for the tool to appear and run.

The tool is offered only when invoicing is enabled for your organization.

Example prompts

Additional properties are rejected.

Result

The invoice is returned in data, with the same fields as Get an invoice (REST): its items with their per-item taxes, the tax1, tax2 and discount settings, and the totals. For how the amounts are calculated and rounded, see Totals, taxes and discounts.

An invoice with more than 200 items, or one too large for an MCP response, fails with temporarily_unavailable. Read it through REST or in FieldTask instead.
